About Me

I am very adventurous, outdoorsy, sweet, easy-going but energetic and often spontaneous, witty sometimes, kind, respectful, trusting, playful and fun :)

Want to hike amazing rocky beaches, kayak or raft whitewater or just some scenic flat water, hike in deep forests, enjoy some wonderful food, party a bit if we feel like it, or something that we just figure out and decide on all of a sudden? Let's go! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I thought couchsurfing would be a cool way to meet some very interesting, open and creative minded, adventurous and fun people to talk with and go on little adventures with.

I was right, but it has been even better than I thought it would be :)))
The amazing, sweet, lively and fun people I've met have been wonderful, positive, interesting, helpful, great to talk to and no problems or drama at all :)

Interests

Kayaking (whitewater, sea, surf), hiking, beaches, exploring, random spontaneous adventures, some partying, photography, trading great massages, making and/or going out to good food, and fun friends :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Just a small sample:

MUSIC - Jain, Sylvan Esso, Superorganism, Michael Franti, David Bowie, Madonna, 11 Acorn Lane, Pomplamoose

MOVIES - The Fifth Element, Hotel Rwanda, The Corporation

BOOKS - Living the Best Day Ever (Coetzee), Lonely Planet guides, Alaska ( Michener), some self-growth books including wonderful Avatar (by Harry Palmer, not the popular cool movie)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed the night 180 feet up in an ancient redwood tree in the middle of winter, the Luna Tree Sit with Julia Butterfly, while on assignment for the Los Angeles Times.
Also: Riding an elephant's neck across a river and then helping to wash it before going to wonderful waterfall in Laos. Though I probably won't ever ride an elephant again due to the cruel way they are captured and then beaten into submission for training.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, smiles, great conversation, fun ideas or philosophical talks, great massages, motivation to enjoy the familiar in a new light or something you have not tried or experienced in your own area, I can cook a bit, help you with a little project, teach you how to use your camera or other technology, maybe troubleshoot that weird noise your car is making, suggest vacation experiences and destinations in my area/country and places I have been, or we could just listen and learn, talk and try to satisfy our curious minds.

Countries I’ve Visited

Antigua and Barbuda, Cambodia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Laos, Martinique, Mexico, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
