ABOUT ME

I'm an easy-going traveler from the US, here to make friends, see the sights and soak up the culture. I'm clean, courteous, good company and I really like a good conversation.

I've just spent a year in Aus and I've just arrived here to start my year on working holiday.

I'm a former nerd learning to become the coolest, most interesting and best Shaun that I can be.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that we'd all be better off if we just did what makes us happy and allowed others to do the same. I live my life to get the maximum enjoyment out of it. You get one life with a finite number of years so you should spend it doing things that you can be proud of on your death bed.

Most of all, I'm here to find myself and do everything I can before I want to settle down.

I love food and wine and beer. I've been a bartender and chef for the past 3 years and I'm excited to learn more about the wine from the regions around here. I like hiking, fishing, paintball, video games, movies, politics and Game of Thrones. Actually, I like almost everything!

Some of my lifetime highlights have been:
Camping in the Australian desert and collecting animals for science. Swimming with sea lions and manta rays. Living in Colorado. Storm chasing tornadoes. Working in Alaska. 2 Playboy Mansion Halloween parties. Working on a cruise line. Great white shark cage diving. Hiking on glaciers.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you how to cook and pair wine with a food. I know a lot about alcohol in general- beer, spirits, wine. How it's made, what affects its flavor, where it comes from and some of its history.

Share: I'll share food, alcohol and whatever I have on me at the time. I love talking about world history and can contribute to most topics. I've also got a brain full of trivial knowledge and sometimes I can pull out random facts. If you love talking about movies, I can talk for hours.

Learn: Whatever you have to offer! I'm especially interested in learning about other countries and playing guitar.
