About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make the most of life.

ABOUT ME

Simple and often quiet. Haven't really figured out what I want to be or what I want to do in life. Taking each day as it comes and trying to stay as upbeat and happy as possible. Travelling, meeting people, being completely immersed or seeing first hand different cultures in my country and the world are my ways to escape from the mundane. Love nature, outdoors and football.

PHILOSOPHY

As cliched as it may sound, live and let live best explains my philosophy in life.
Let the past be where it belongs and look forward to a better day today and tomorrow is another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Don't really have a place of m own yet, but would love to host people when I do eventually have one. Would love to hang out or show you around when you are in my part of the world till then.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with Liz and her wonderful family in the hills of Sinhalia. Taught in the school, ploughed the fields, planted potatoes, ate some wonderful food and came back with memories and people to keep for the rest of my life.

Interests

Love travelling, reading, cycling, hiking, trekking and football.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love any kind of music mostly. Taste in particular genres keep evolving more than I would like. Current favourite bands are Mashrou Leila and Cairokee.

Sucker for great stories. The Count of Monte Cristo which got me into reading when I was kid still remains the all time favourite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Came back running from the end of a trek because my bones couldn't bear the cold and my body needed a shower and a comfortable bed. Walked 60 kms in 12 hours to reach the base village way past dark. Rewarded myself with some chang and greasy Chinese. It was glorious.

Teach, Learn, Share

Pretty good at computers and selling things online. If anyone would want any tips on that, I'd be glad to be of help.
