关于我
An avid adventurer hoping to see some small part of this crazy world we're all in. Born and raised in Canada, so I can naturally talk to polar bears and know how to shovel a driveway after a blizzard.
I'm quite organized and like a clean home and a normal bedtime. I'll sometimes go out on the town, but usually I like to read a book and get a good night's rest. I'm very careful to keep my host's house clean and I hope you'll do the same for me.
Some of my interests include skiing, reading, yoga, meditation, and dancing. I like making music (mediocre, at best) and I'm learning computer programming. I've recently gotten into scuba diving, so if you're interested in that, let's talk.
I'm living in Chongqing China until October 2018. After that I'll be traveling and then will update this website once I have another couch I can offer up. I have a small apartment, but if you just need a couch for a couple days maybe we can work something out.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情
Few people have walked on the Great Wall of China, but I imagine much fewer have walked to the end of the "touristy" part of the wall to where it hasn't been maintained, also known as "The Wild Wall".
When I was in Beijing I got on the wall at Mutianyu. It was quite busy (as always) so I decided to walk all the way to where the map they handed out ends. I reached the last guard tower after about 3 hours of steep walking.
After that, the wall keeps going, but it hasn't been rebuilt or well maintained like the tourist section. So I hopped the little barrier and decided to keep walking as far as I could. As I got further from last tower, the wall became more and more moldering, dangerous and over-grown with trees. Eventually I got to a point where it was hard to distinguish the wall from the trees and plants on top of it, took a picture of how far I got, and made the long journey back.

I'm an English teacher, so if English isn't your first language, maybe I can give you some help. I'm good with computers and might be able to help you with some IT stuff. I've also traveled a bunch and worked as a tour guide in Canada, so I have some knowledge to share.
