Stuck in Wasilla, What's Next?
Currently an interpretive Park Ranger for Yosemite National Park, stationed on the east side of the Sierra Nevadas. On temporary reassignment at the entrance station to the park selling entrance passes!
Oh man, where to start....I've grown up in the great state of Alaska, and as hard as I can squint, I still haven't seen that mythical country that is Russia.
Anyways, I like a good, relaxing time. I'm pretty chill, will eat anything and love to travel. I've been working seasonally for the US National Park Service and have been contemplating graduate school studying foreign policy.
"It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses."
While this sort of sums up my personal philosophy, I've never been to Chicago, (O'Hare doesn't count), don't smoke, never have created a massive cops chase scene, and only rarely wear my sunglasses at night. I LOVE the Blues Brothers though.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now, I cannot host anyone, but I will be happy to show you around the area I live in.
Sadly, stayed on many more couches than I've hosted. This summer, I'm in government housing and cannot host anyone.
Road tripping, Soccer, Homebrewing, 60s and 70s rock, motown and funk, vinyl records, getting outdoors: hiking, skiing, hot springing.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Beatles, Kinks, Stones, Neil Young, Al Green, Dylan, Rascals, Booker T and the MGs, Springsteen, James Gang, Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam. Really too many to list.

I don't read nearly as much as I should. Anything by Thomas Friedman or Jared Diamond. All of the adventures of Tintin. The Onion's "Our Dumb World."
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
National Outdoor Leadership School month-long backpacking trip through the Wind River Range, Wyoming.
My '05 foreign exchange to Stirling, Scotland was also pretty amazing.
