I am a self-proclaimed student of the world and product of my environment, raised in Spain but my parents are Irish and American.
I would consider myself a Humanist and believe that we can escape the current debt-based monetary system where profit comes before human well being if we work together for the good of mankind. As a firm supporter of associations such as The Venus Project and The Zeitgeist Movement , I see the scientific method as the ultimate tool to improve mankind's ability to interact with nature, the world, and each other. I would say I have been most influenced by people like Jacque Fresco and Richard Feynmann, those who call everything into question and encourage healthy skepticism in all aspects of life as well as striving for a change in our counterproductive paradigms.

I recently took a year out of University to travel and spent some time sailing in South America before I encountered some travellers in my home town. We spent a couple of months on and off hitchiking through the north of Spain and south of France. It was an experience I will always remember but it taught me a lot about the value of kindness, as we spent most of our time sleeping in the streets or in hammocks a friendly face and a bed were things I learned to cherish.

The same reason all of you are I hope. To meet new people and gain insight on different people and perspectives of the world wherever I travel. Relativity is a beautiful thing and only through experience of new places, people and ideas can we learn.

After spending a couple months with some friends backpacking as boghans I know that a warm bed and a good host can make a huge difference in someones travels. Hope I can give back a little of the wonder Ive experienced on my journey

Sports: Windsurfing, Snowboarding, Rock Climbing and Circus Skills
I love to learn and consider the scientific method the most important tool that mankind has developed so I guess that needs a mention
Changing the world in a positive way, currently trying to establish a society to improve relationships between students of different disciplines to allow for more collaboration at university.

Sailing to the Carribean with my family, the crossing took two weeks and was hell on my insides but the sense of achievement you feel when you finally spot land after such a long time on the ocean is almost indescribable

Did the last third of the Camino de Santiago with a few friends, what I loved most about it was constantly being exposed to new people and cultures, another experience I wouldnt trade for the world

What a great question for everyone out there. Well as a self proclaimed student of the world I would say stories and memories would be number one on that list but I often travel with an assortment of odds and ends including Juggling Balls, Hacky Sacks and a Toroflux so if you ever wanted to learn some basic circus skills with them I'm sure we could work something out.
I'm far from the greatest chef in the world but would be willing to cook for anyone who put me up, I'm a particular fan of burritos as simple as they are to prep.
