Traveling and experiencing different cultures is a great passion of mine. I've found the best memories are those of the people I have met and of those who made me feel like a guest rather than a tourist.

PHILOSOPHY

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather of skidding in sideways .. champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “Woo hoo – what a ride!

I don't have a couch to offer just now but I'm open to meet up for a coffee, a drink, a meal and a laugh.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't used anyone's couch yet but I have met up with people through CS and it was a lot of fun exploring new places together.

I'm an avid reader of National Geographic, the Economist and Foreign Policy. I enjoy historiographies, biographies and some fiction. I like all kinds of music especially that which you can dance to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm, diving with hammerheads in the Galapagos; skydiving in Costa Rica; snowboarding in Hokaido; sharing a meal with a Kashmiri family on their house boat on Dal Lake; celebrating a birthday under the full moon on Koh Phangan Island; or crossing Mongolia in an old, Russian military vehicle with a motley crew of travelers? I dunno, you choose...
