About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am traveling the world my boyfriend in search of a life of art, music (his art), bookbinding (my art), and new friends.

ABOUT ME

I have lived in San Francisco for almost 10 years (come visit!) and am wandering Europe in hopes of finding new community and sharing my life journey with new friends. My boyfriend Kristopher is a poet, musician, and absurdist. I have been working a desk job too long and need the freedom of the unplanned voyage to free my soul again.

PHILOSOPHY
Just go. You have all the time you ever wanted and none of the limitations you think you have. Experiencing the world is the most important part of being alive. Meeting people along the way enriches, enlivens, and enforces the beauty (and strangeness) in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed all over Europe and had great experiences after college! Once I get back to San Francisco, I'll be hosting people too.

Interests

I cave. Like crawling into holes in the ground. My parents met on a cave trip so I've been caving since I was a little kid. It's tons of fun, like an underground jungle gym. Obviously I love to travel and want to see as much of the world as I possibly can. I'm interested in green technology and might go to grad school to learn how to build windmills for people's homes (out of recycled materials like aluminum cans or melted PVC pipes.) In the last year, I've fallen deeply in love with yoga and would love to do yoga any place I stop along the way. I would like to join an ashram somewhere on the West coast. Help me find one, please.

Music, Movies, and Books

The books I brought on this trip include Steppenwolf (Herman Hesse), No Country For Old Men (Cormac McCarthy), and On The Road (Jack Kerouac).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Australia, I was in a car full of people driving out to a ski mountain outside of Sydney. We left as the sun was setting. The moon was new and on the rise that afternoon and I remember this light the color of an orange creamsicle filling the car. I was sitting in the middle seat in the back and out the window to my left I could see this amazing blue sky with a new moon rising over an orange plain. And on my right there was an immense field with a pack of wild kangaroos just chilling in the dimming light. It was surreal and beautiful. The best.
