Hi :) I was born in India and when I was 14, I permanently moved to California. Got my B.A. degree in Communication after changing my major 6 times and finally found my passion - to meet new people! Turned out that Communication didn't have interesting jobs and teaching English was an avenue to start travelling and meet people from different cultures. So I finished my CELTA English teaching certificate in 2014 and I've been travelling since.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm mainly on Couchsurfing for two reasons - to meet new people and to find accomodation as I travel. I usually travel solo so it's always cool to meet up with like-minded hosts who have also traveled themselves and have their own stories to share - I love listening to people's adventures and making new friends from around the world. My travel plans are often spontaneous, so it can also be difficult to find last minute accommodations. So CS seems to me the perfect solution :)

Interests

Travelling has got to be my first and foremost interest. That often goes together with meeting strangers on the street, going to bars and sharing stories. My most recent interest is screenwriting and I'm working towards building this skill to share perspectives through stories. Last but not least, I'm deeply passionate about meaningful contribution towards the proper treatment of animals.
