HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently participating by using the couchsurfing website to find places to stay while I am backpacking across Europe. Upon my return to the states I wish to open up my couch in San Francisco for my new friends and fellow couchsurfers to crash while in SF.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing experience has grown significantly in the last year and a half. I moved to SF a year and a half ago and I moved there with no job and no home, just a ton of friends that already lived in the city. I moved from friend to friend's couch/bed for a month and a half till I found a place to live. My friends were so inviting and accommodating with homes and wherever I was staying I would help contribute as much as possible keeping spaces clean, always doing all the dishes, and more.
I encountered my second couchsurfing experience in these last two months before my trip. In order to make my trip to Europe possible I needed to save a lot of money in a short time. I realized the only way to do this quickly was to sublet my room in SF and save the money I would have been spending on rent. This means I needed to couchsurf while working more than full time in the city. Again my friends were so excited for my trip and let me go from couch to couch for two month until leaving for my journey.
