About Me
CURRENT MISSION
In service to Mother Earth
ABOUT ME
Adventurous, flexible, environmentally conscious, woman who has travelled much of my life.
PHILOSOPHY
Spiritual but do not align with any religion. Live my life as full as I can. Exploration and learning and giving back are very high on my list of essentials. Will I have enough time here to do all that is beckoning and that I am called to do? That is the question. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love couchsurfers to come to our Shelter for kids in India. I think CS is a wonderful opportunity for people to connect and share - and love the possibility that this giving and receiving experience can offer us all.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have spent time in Brussels and Paris with hosts and was completely amazed at the connections made. What beautiful people who opened their homes and hearts to me. I am so lucky. It is difficult for me to host as my place in India is not my own - where I volunteer and when in Australia I am also staying with friends.
Interests
I volunteer for a shelter for chidren in India - where I live much of the time - I am interested in working for Mother Earth, environment, spirituality - close to Buddhism but not following any particular path.. reading, diverse music, love connecting with other cultures, making a difference wherever I go. Eating the food of different cultures, taking photos - an amateur but enthusiastic.
I just fund raised and built a dam in rural India for water harvesting - an experience never to be forgotten!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: classics, middle eastern, Bollywood, world music, lots of sounds ...
read mostly non fiction but just started And The Mountains Echoed. I love books that uplift me and expand my consciousness. Just read Amanda Palmer - The Art of Asking. She is wonderful. Arundhati Roy - God of Small Things - a favourite.
Don't go to movies much but I like movies espcially those that uplift and tell a good tale. Not into violence.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
spent the last 6 years working wth street kids from India.. they are amazing children!! http://shikshangram.com
Just completed building a dam for water harvesting in rural India. http://waterharvestfoundation.org
Kayaked in Antarctica!
Actually I think I have had an amazing life - so much has been given to me and still is!
Teach, Learn, Share
Health and healing, environmental issues, sharing of myself and that which I have understood in my life.
I want to learn more about how to live in balance in this wonderful world and to assist others to do the same.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation - happy to cook, laughter, insights, love conversation that deepens the understanding of our world. Enjoy a glass of wine, and can offer insights into the world around us that I have been fortunate to receive. I can wash dishes too! :)
