About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting people who do something, anything at all, with passion and care

ABOUT ME

I am a junior at Boston College, but I'm currently studying in Dublin for a semester. Right now I'm in the process of planning a bit of traveling for after the semester.

PHILOSOPHY

I've found that as long as you always do things with effort and care, regardless of how trivial the task is, you are already succeeding...it sounds simple enough, but of course it's easier said than done.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm brand new to couchsurfer, but I'm very excited to start getting involved. Right now I'm traveling, but when I return to Boston I will open up my couch just as soon as I have an apartment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Thus far I have had zero couch surfing experience. I have slept on many friends' couches in my time for various reasons but have yet to truly surf.

Interests

Finding out what other people are interested in and how they go about pursuing these interests, and taking whatever I can from that.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Dostoevsky--The Idiot, Joyce--Portrait of the Artist as a Young man, Kundera--The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Vonnegut--Cat's Cradle, Conrad--Heart of Darkness

Movies: No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski, A Beautiful Mind

Music: Grizzly Bear, Beirut, Beach House, Destroyer, Sunset Rubdown

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Boudless bogs in Western Ireland, Countless bikes in amsterdam, I've made homemade pasta in a Roman kitchen, and been to Fenway Park for Boston Red Sox games dozens of times, but most of all I've had some truly excellent times with people sitting around a table or living room late at night.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: English, American sports, my personal history, and I can probably also teach you how to make an absurd argument if you're interested in that sort of thing

Learn: What makes individuals tick, to cook better, and though I have not been so good at this to this point in my life, languages

Share: Conersation over a meal or a cup of coffee, knowledge and opinions, laughter

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Germany, Italy, Malta, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In

Ireland, United States
