CURRENT MISSION

To do all the traveling I can while I'm young and able and hopefully gain a more cosmopolitan view of the world/life.

ABOUT ME

I adore meeting new people and making friends. I believe that every person you come across can teach you something, as long as you're open-minded enough to allow it :) I spend a lot of my time working (trying to save up money to pay off student loans so I can travel! :D), going to concerts, and spreading love/smiles to as many people as I am able. I'm seeking to experience life in the richest ways possibles!

PHILOSOPHY

The only way I know how to answer this is with a quote. I'm terrible with words.

I believe traveling is one of the best ways to learn. With that being said, I want to immerse myself in as many cultures as possible. I want to get out of this country and see for myself how big and glorious this world is, and how incredible and loving the people in it are as well.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't yet! And I am unable to host with married roommates unfortunately. But if anyone ever ends up in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area of Virgina, I would be more than happy to show them around :)

My "amazing thing" list is disappointingly short, but that's why I joined this site. Hope to add more things soon, but! Last summer I flew out to LA to see a friend, did some sightseeing in Cali and then drove up to Portland and back across the country with him. It was pretty fantastic :)

I absolutely love what the paragraph underneath this says. The fact that couchsurfing is intended to be so much more than simply grabbing a free place to stay speaks to me in incredible ways. I am not merely looking to save money, although that is quite the benefit. I want to engage and learn others cultures in ways that I couldn't if I just wandered about on my own, with no local insight. I also want to give whatever I can in return! Whether it simply be conversation, my everlasting gratitude, or the best possible outcome (whenever I move on from my current living situation): the chance to repay the incredible favor by offering a place to stay in my own home.
