I'm currently traveling the United States with no set plan or final destination in mind, though when all is said and done I am likely to live somewhere in the East Coast, for I refer it to strip-mall-laden Norcal.
For company I have a Mandolin and a book.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in doing things, and if you want something you should go for it, rather than twiddle your thumbs and whine.

I've just started, so I haven't yet. I reckon when I'm settled I can offer a couch, and til then I'm surfing them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen from Radiohead to Depeche Mode to Gorillaz to They Might Be Giants to The Strokes. Old-timey is pretty awesome as well, though I'm not partial to soft-voiced easylistening folk music that seems to be all the rage these days.
I love the film Snatch, love the book Catch-22, so that should give an approximate indication of others I may like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trying, with my friend, to fix a flat tire with Duct Tape and 3 different kinds of ooze at 4am at a truck stop.

It didn't work.
