Overview
About Me
Originally from a tiny Bavarian village, but moved to Marburg for educational purposes. I studied general linguistics and even though I should have finished long ago, I kinda got stuck in this town.
I spend most of my freetime cooking and watching movies with friends, I read obsessively and am always looking for new music. When I'm not being a bum on the couch, I can also be quite active (riding my bike, running, yoga, zumba or whatever else is available at the university sport center). But none of that happens before I have replaced my blood with coffee in the morning.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a great way of getting in touch with people, learning about different cultures, traveling without needing a ton of money, practicing language skills and sharing recipes.
And as a bonus you fight the hotel industry. :-)
Interests
Sports of any kind (although I'm awful at dancing and gymnastics), staying up all night, skinny dipping in lakes, randomly booking flights to countries I've never been to and having no plan whatsoever what I'm going to do there.
If you have pets, I will try to adopt them. Especially cats, even though I'm allergic.
I also feel strongly about all things concerning feminism.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite bands are the Red Hot Chili Peppers and System of a Down, but I will listen to any other genre as well - except country. My phone can go from The xx to the soundtrack of Amelie, so my range is pretty wide.
I'll watch any kind of movie, but prefer smaller indie productions, foreign language or movies so bad they're good. Also I've recently been introduced to German movies, apparently they're not all awful.
I go through phases of reading a book a day, so it's hard to pin down a favorite or even remember all of them. But I got the whole Harry Potter collection on my shelf and I have a thing for dystopian feminist science fiction (e.g. Margaret Atwood).
