ABOUT ME

The Bipolar kind that prefers the most deserted beach and a party island at the same time. Like how coffee is food while craving for beer. A heaven-tolerated being for her almost sure opinions about love, fate and Hindi dancing.

I am a believer of tongues and a blind follower of blending in with locals by trying hard to translate almost everything even "Pepsi" in local dialect. If singing local songs can be pushed through, then maybe sing your way for a bargain?

That and oh, I still prefer people with a considerable amount of courtesy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I talk a lot... maybe I can be a distraction or I can walk long distances, so if anybody needs any walkathon companion, I am readily available.

P.S. I am not really the most convenient tourguide you can ever find, but if you don't mind shabby coffee shops and occassional smoke breaks then we're friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Crazy happens. I haven't hosted anybody but crashed these awesome people's couches:

Rica (Manila)
Red (Manila)

I rarely surf people's couches and I haven't hosted anybody due to the places I've been staying at but I've participated in various local meetups and met a lot of people both local in the place and travellers.

兴趣

Coffee! and Beer! and Coffee! Sometimes they are all I am after why I go around.

Seriously, I like hiking or taking long walks in the country side. I choose to travel slow, taking long bus rides and people watching is a favorite.

I am currently trying to finish a mini book. I try to be a writer.

Lately I have been obsessed with gaelic folk music, but Ben Howard, Bon Iver, America, Toto, Dashboard Confessional, Jose Gonzales, Taking Back Sunday, Saosin, Daughter, Damien Rice, and Rogue Wave are staples.

As for movies, I am no junkie and have to be forced a little to see one (I know, I am sorry). This doesn't mean that I don't have favorites though.

Books, I don't even know where to start.
Dangerous Women, His Dark Materials, A Song of Fire and Ice, everything Neil Gaiman's, My Struggle, The Hundred Year Old Man Who Jumped Out The Window And Disappeared- at this point I realized my list won't end. Sorry, if you must, ask me in person.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I always wondered when "getting stranded" will happen to me, alas one day I was out on a day hike in Mt. Mandalagan when all the trails have been wiped out and we were stranded without food, fire, extra clothes, light, and tent for 12 hours. It was freezing cold and there was no phone signal that we had to sleep under a fallen tree.

I am one of those people that cannot determine when teaching starts and when learning begins until it actually happens or I happen to say the right things and people pick up something useful from it without anybody knowing.

I sure can share, I love the exchange of misfortunes and funny outtakes of people in their travels.

I have lived in a few countries and definitely can share a lot of my experiences. I can cook, not chef level, but I know my Philippine cuisine enough to please thee hosts. :)
