I'm originally from Ireland but have been living in Germany since 2015. Currently, I'm training through German to become a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. In my spare time, I like to hang out with friends and neighbours, go bouldering, knit, bake, or have an alcoholic beverage (usually some tasty german beer!).

My boyfriend and I have been dreaming non-stop about going to Japan together pretty much since we met, which is now over four years ago! Unfortunately, training to be a psychotherapist and having a dream of helping other people is an expensive business and Japan ain't much cheaper either! But what we lose in monetary value hopefully means we will gain some fantastic experiences meeting some friendly and open people who are willing to let us stay in their home for a few days, which at the end of the day is what really counts and what we'll remember long after we've returned home to normal life! :)

Deciding to move from The Netherlands to Germany with my boyfriend after only knowing him for 11 months! Thankfully it seems to be working out well for us both!

My boyfriend loves to cook and I love to bake! We're also happy to help you brush up on your English skills...maybe some German if you want to try something new...or if you're feeling very adventurous, how about learning some Irish (Gaelige)!
