hi hello !!!! I'm Shelby and I am currently adventuring around Europe for a little while. I started this year as an Au Pair in Spain, and once i finished there, I decided I didn't want to go home yet so I changed my flight and haven't looked back!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to couchsurfing, i joined because i think it offers a really unique experience for solo travellers like me and I am really pumped to see what experiences and connections are to come. The best part about traveling is the people that you meet along the way, what better way than this?? I love the concept and I plan to open my home to surfers once I return!

I have only recently started reading in my leisure time so I don't really have a favorite book just yet. I am currently reading the screwtape letters, and am happy to take suggestions for what to read next!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn to play an instrument or two!! The ultimate goal is the violin, but I’ll probably start with guitar or piano.

I am always down to learn a few new dance moves and hopefully participate in a flash mob someday.

What I Can Share with Hosts

a solid 7/10 culinary skills. A good ass gumbo and homemade nut butters are included in this particular skill set.

For entertainment purposes, I can quote the entirety of the movies Master of Disguise, Borat, or My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I'm working on learning The Pink Panther, which in my opinion is a highly underrated movie.

I also do a mean Cher impersonation.
