About Me

I have an excess of both energy and older brothers (I've got four in total). This somehow made me into someone that loves to entertain others - both as a performer and as a host.

If everyone is having a good time, I'm happy. If everyone is having a good time, AND forming new connections, or learning new things - I'm even happier!

To this end, I do my best to stay centered, and present - by doing things like yoga, meditation, taking walks, listening to good music, eating good food.

Pretty much just trying to live the best way I know how.
Sometimes that means getting away to go chill out in nature. Other times, it means dressing up, going out, and having an amazing night in the city!
It's all about what will lead to the best experience possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because 1) I've always wanted to travel, and this seems like an amazing way to meet people that I can learn from, and hopefully travel with in the future, and 2) I have quite a few good friends that have had great experiences through Couchsurfing, so I know it's legit!

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: R & B, hip-hop (mostly new school), classic rock, alternative rock, folk, but open to pretty much anything!

MOVIES: Good movies! Or movies with something good about them. Honestly, I can enjoy even the worst movie if I'm watching it with friends (but if it's really bad, I'll have to spout some smack talk).

BOOKS: I used to read a lot of fantasy, but I branched out a lot through high school and college. The Brothers Karamasov and Mists of Avalon changed my life. Right now I'm re-reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being, by Milan Kundera. I've also recently had the pleasure of reading Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman, along with Saturday and The Innocent by Ian McEwan - and I'm certain that I'll be rereading each and every one of those books someday <3

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On the first of two summer internships I was lucky enough to spend in Yosemite National Park (which, in and of itself was AMAZING) - another intern and I hiked all night to watch the sunrise from the top of Half-Dome. We had some great adventures along the way, and I love to share the story of that hike every chance I get!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some basic guitar chords, some Spanish, English of course, and maybe even a little Japanese? If you're into writing (poems, songs, essays, etc.) I'd love to read work and provide feedback. I'm pretty good at organizing things too - so maybe I can teach that skill a bit too?

I'd love to improve my Spanish, and learn how to cook new dishes, or get to know new kinds of music

I think what I can share with people depends a lot on that individual. But, at the bare minimum, I can always share time, space, and attention.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook meals, clean house, walk dogs, anything and everything I can do to bring some more joy to your household I will do!
