First trip where I couchsurf.....LET'S GET THOSE GOOD VIBES GOIN!
ALL about me? But this box is so tiny and I feel so big!
I love to learn. Everything. I don't get why being a jack of all trades is generally considered a bad thing? If I partially know how to change my oil it's still better then no knowledge of basic car maintenance. And SURE, I could become the MASTER of oil changes...but then I probably wouldn't have time to play my ukulele ( which I am also adequate at! ). I'm trying to explain my life philosophy here. Follow your heart. Don't stay at a job you hate, don't hang out with people you don't like and don't waste your waistline on bad food!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I lurk. And I read everyones profiles and am so jealous of their experiences and I read the reviews where both members get to recall the time they shared. I want that.
History! I like all stories in general. And that includes hearing them from strangers and telling some of my own!
I'm a runner. I've done a few half-marathons and one full. Even though I'm not training running is still a HUGE part of my life. I've also just started practicing yoga. And I'm addicted. It changes the way I look at the world and the way I interact with it and I can't wait to continue to dedicate myself to it.
I have a big family that I love spending time with.
I love going on adventures and seeing all the amazing things this world and its people have to offer.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love film. Of all kinds. Engaging documentaries, Hollywood Classics, Bollywood, Spaghetti Westerns, Buddy Cop, Murder Mystery. For reals. All kinds.
I love books. Of all kinds. Especially non fiction adventure and travel. And I love audiobooks and I'm not ashamed! Because having a book read to you on a long drive is delightful
Music: I'm really in to Bluegrass and Folk right now, but as a 90's kid I'm always a fan of the "alternative" genre (GooGoo Dolls, Everclear, Counting Crows etc). I also have this guilty pleasure for hair metal. How can you hear a song from Van Halen and not get pumped?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving over the Carolina coast. I was the first one to jump out of the plane and they opened the door and the air just filled the cabin and you hearts in your throat and you swing your legs over the side and then you LEAVE the plane. You're flying! I went through a cloud and stuck my tongue out to taste it.
Getting to work on a very big budget film and designing my first prop. It was just a silly little sign. But when I got to see something that I created, that I contributed to the story line, on a monitor that would soon be on the big screen, it made me feel SO lucky to have a career that I get so much joy out of.
