I am extremely outgoing, friendly and have a big passion for learning and experiencing new things in life. I really enjoy getting to meet people from other countries and cultures. I love being a social person and having a good time or laugh with just about anyone.

I like to keep an open mind because there is always so much to learn in life.

I study victimology in school and I am hoping to work on getting my Masters degree. I really love my field of studies
I also do a lot of volunteer work for my cities victim service organization. I work in partnership with the police service to provide emotional support, practical assistance, referrals, and advocacy for victims of crimes and trauma. I usually do 10 to 15 hours a week.

My personal philosophy is that people wont always remember what you said or done but they will always remember how you made them feel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting new people, especially from other countries. I want the chance to meet new people while travelling across the world. I got to build an incredible friendship with someone from the US who is now my best friend, we started playing video games together and over the last 8 years we got to become really great friends.
Meeting people and learning about their lifestyle is really interesting to me.

Interests

Camping and hiking was a big part of my childhood growing up with my dad. I was gone 35 to 45 weekends a year camping with my dad. In the summer sometimes we were gone for weeks. I love being outdoors.

I love trying new foods I have not eaten. If it is a meal or food I've never tried i will never say no to eating it. Foods from different cultures are such an awesome experience to try and I have eaten some pretty weird stuff.

I am a huge fan of any type of spicy food. I used to be an assistant store manager for a hot sauce store which was cool!

I prefer horror movies. my favourite movie is The Thing (1982)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Spent 2 months in the forest camping with my dad

- Spent 36 over Christmas and Christmas eve doing volunteer work.

- Built 8 years of friendship with someone I never met before finally meeting up in person together and going to the bar.

- Forced myself to overcome my fear of public speaking.
