I live in the Pacific Northwest, in a town called Bellingham.
I am a server at the oldest brew pup in Bellingham, WA. and I love it! I work and play with some of the most amazing people.

I'm also a mosaic artist and mother to 3 grown children. They're pretty rad people. We all hike, go to the beaches, lakes and mountains in the area. We love to camp and swim in the rivers near Mt. Baker. We're all pretty close.

I've worked at what seems a million different jobs, dishwasher, cook, server, yurt builder, tile setting, roofing, farm hand on a quail farm, chicken wrangler, travel agent, festival event coordinator etc...I like to try my hand at most things.

I am a dual citizen of Canada and the United States. I lived much of my younger years in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada.

My love of travel came from my parents. We moved constantly and once built a home out of a bus. It had a woodstove, bunkbeds, bathroom and even a rocking chair. This was in the early 70's. Then we traveled from the deep south all the way to the Yukon. It took us over a month and we stayed in so many out of the way places.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

My main reason for couchsurfing is to meet and get to know the people that live where I'm traveling. I want to experience the place, culture and people and be more immersed in it.

I'm excited to meet people from all walks of life, everywhere. I was introduced to couchsurfing by a lovely couple who met while couch surfing and eventually married. They are wonderful people and when they heard I was planning an Ireland/Scotland adventure, encouraged me to check it out. What a great concept. whoever got this ball rolling was awesome.
I will be traveling to Ireland in September and meeting my youngest son there.

It's going to be a grand adventure.

I simply can't say what my favorite music is. It is so varied and depends entirely on my mood.
One of my favorite authors is Charles De Lint.

Lived alone with my sisters for 6 months way out in the country in the wild Yukon when I was 13. We hitchhiked to get jobs, groceries and generally kept ourselves amused and healthy. It was an experience that shaped who I am.
