ABOUT ME

my ongoing goal is to camp at every state park in NC. 24 down with about 20 to go...

I work and go to school so I am usually too busy/poor to travel but there are two times I always go somewhere: Independence Day and New Years. I try to pick somewhere super American for 4th of July (because there are great fireworks) and somewhere super awesome for New Years. In the past its brought me to places like Denver, Boston, Dallas for 4th of July and Vancouver, Reykjavik and Barcelona for New Years.

I've hosted a few people and meet a few for drinks, sightseeing around Durham. So far its always been a great experience. Sometimes I have to travel for work and don't get a chance to reply to people quickly, so sorry about that if it happens :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I made this account a few years ago when I thought I needed somewhere to stay in Spain (turns out i didn't). I definitely like meeting local CS people. Having a local show you around cant be beat.

I have gotten some interesting surfers in Durham. A lot of international people coming to Duke. It's a fun city. Lots of cool, interesting people, art, AMAZING food, etc, etc. So if you are coming through and need a place (or just want some ideas of where to go/eat/etc)...well, you know how it works, just send me an email :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my way home from a night out with friends I saw a house on fire. When noone answered us banging on the door i kick it in, ran into the house and dragged a half-asleep man into the front yard. So, yeah, I saved someone from a burning building...and I wasn't even wearing a cape! :)
