Overview
About Me
I'm midway through a PhD in Education, and my partner Damien and I have three children, a dog, two cats and five horses.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As part of my PhD, I'm presenting my research at some international conferences. Being on a student's scholarship means I don't have the big bucks to stay at the fancy-pants five start hotels where the keynote speakers get accommodated. I'm still in the 'pay your own way' stage, so am looking for ways to save money and also to see a different side of places than just the touristy facade.
Interests
Researching and writing, hiking, travelling, enjoying nature, eating, drinking, hanging out with good people, and making the most of life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Too wide a range to list here - I'm open to most things. At the moment most of my reading is research related (can't wait to read a gripping novel when I'm finished my studies!).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walked in to Everest Base Camp.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yes, yes, yes! I can teach English, or chat about educational research. Learning is such an exciting part of life, so am always open to learning something new from someone else. Sharing new experiences with good people is a very cool thing to do, I also love to hear and share travel experiences. (I'm not sure I've interpreted this section correctly!).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to pitch in and do some housework, cook some meals or run some errands.
