About Me

I recently completed my Master of Science degree in Dec of 2016. I love sports- surfing, snowboarding, soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming, and kayaking. I have spent ~4.5 months in Queensland Australia living in the rainforest, 1 month in Kenya living on a game reserve, a month in Brazil visiting family, and time in these countries mostly for school-related activities: Germany, New Zealand, British Virgin Islands, Paraguay, Argentina, Canada, and Mexico.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and learning about new cultures and diverse ecosystems. I just moved to Virginia and don't have a bed for anyone to stay at, so I can't host anyone for a month or two until I get another bed. I have couch surfed in New Zealand, backpacked through there and stayed with really amazing hosts. I had really positive experiences there and felt very safe traveling alone. I've also stayed in hostels in Mexico, Australia and Brazil and absolutely loved the people that I met and we were able to share really incredible experiences together- bioluminescent forests in New Zealand, Dancing competition in Mexico, and snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef.
