Hey!
I like building things, meeting new people, and learning new languages.
At one point I worked on a project on using brain signals to control a wheelchair and also worked in a digital health company in Prague on building digital support systems for bipolar patients.

I learned German from watching cartoons when I was 5, and I'm currently fluent in Persian, English, and German and can communicate in French and want to learn Spanish next year (ver excited about this since I’ve been planning this for a while).

I’ve finished my master's at the University of Waterloo in applied mathematics and I'm currently a researcher at the same university. I work right now at the intersection of math and biology and try to find a solution for diabetes. I’m also really interested in neuroscience and can go hours discussing it.

Traveling has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. I met a lot of kind, lovely people along the way and I'm very grateful for it. I find CS a unique community that has all of these together. I started hosting after a road trip to the east of Canada (more on that in the next section)

My major travel experiences:
- Went on a two-week road trip from Toronto to the Maritimes. going through New Brunswick, PEI, and reaching Nova Scotia and Cape Breton.
- Lived in the USA for three months and backpacked through Boston, New York, Washington, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
- Lived in Prague for three months and traveled around Europe and went to cities like Krakow, Brussels, Munich, and Brno.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I went on a road trip with a friend of mine from Toronto to the Maritimes and we used couch surfing. It’s been an awesome experience for both of us and when we got back home we both decided we’ll be hosting in our own cities and give back to this amazing community.
I've been accepting guests since then and I'll be more than happy to be able to host more and be a small part of this great community.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

- I've traveled to America for 2.5 months. I went to Miami, Orlando, New York, and Washington and backpacked through Boston, New York(for the second time), California, and Los Angeles. It's one of the most exciting experiences I've ever had.

- I learned German when I was 5 by watching German cartoons but lost track of it until on my trip to Europe I realized how I enjoy the language and the learning process so I picked up again to reach fluency and even took a language proficiency exam for it.

- I’ve decided to learn French during COVID and it’s been great so far.

- I prepared for the 2022 Toronto marathon.

- When I was 16, we went to France and visited Normandy with my family. It had a major effect on me to see firsthand the effects of World War II. I bought several books and decided to write an essay about D-Day for my high school project.

I really like to teach languages and love to share the process to make it more fun as I see it’s the only way to be consistent in it.
I also like coding and math so I can share some of the projects I’m currently working on and their resources.
I started to take exercising more seriously three years ago and have been swimming, weight lifting, rock climbing, running, and hiking ever since and we can also share our experiences on that too.

I’m trying to learn to bake the best chocolate chip cookies. Besides that, I can share language learning tips, interesting stuff about the brain, and anything related to mathematics.
