ABOUT ME

I live in probably the coolest city in the world, Amsterdam with the coolest people. And I come from the most beautiful country in the world with the warmest people... However, am I being biased to say that I prefer Kiwi visitors? It's just that I love my life in Amsterdam but sometimes I miss NZ. And having Kiwis stay reminds me of home. My place is like a Kiwi bach - it ain't flash but its's comfortable. It has a nice, relaxing feeling with a staggering view of 17th century buildings across the Singel (canal). It's very different from home. I have "Sheryl's favourite things to do in Amsterdam"...altho' I'll have to update it cos some places have closed down. Sometimes I'm not available to entertain due to small things like work and senior moments! But that's OK. It's fun to get lost in this city at any time of the day...or night

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a lot of friends and family visiting me this year so I'm not going to be available all the time to couch surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I use to live through my friend Henk and his couch surfing experiences here in Amsterdam. He's had like 200 people stay in the last year. I ended up with a Kiwi newlyweds cos he had 4 CS's staying and couldn't fit them. And it was great. We all had an enjoyable time even meeting Henk and his ducklings (CSs)at Gollem which was cool.

Interessi

going to concerts, biking around, travelling, socialising, pilates, art. Sitting on the terrace enjoying the summer's evening...with a nice glass of wine...ok...i'm off!!!

Love all sorts of music particularly Ben Harper, Katchafire, Liam Finn, Flip Grater, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Nouvelle Vague, Anika Moa...depends on my mood but not Dutch ompha ompha music

Books: Read alot; my favourite thing to do on public transport apart from people watching

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I use to say it was Cerro Chirripó in Costa Rica but now it would be looking after my 12 month old niece for 4 days...on my own.
