This is Sheyda Esmail Nejad , A 25 years old young girl who was born in Iran(a fortunate country to have me :p ). I am doing Masters of Computer-software at University of Tehran,I wrote and published 3 books, My Books are taught at universities and also I am a TA at uni, I am a musician I play an iranian traditional Drum that we call it Daf,I am a member of the band, I give my time and work as hard as I can.I am also very interested in different cultures,traditions ,folk musics and dances. Family is one of the top priority for me. If I have some free time I prefer to lie in my bed and read a book or play music. I consider myself to be a confident person because I am not intimidated by challenges. I like to challenge myself and become better at what I do but at the same time, I do not let negative thoughts keep me from reaching my goals. I also don’t let failure hold me back. In case of a failure, I try to identify my weaknesses and fix them to do better next time. I try to have a “can do” attitude at all times. I also think that I have good communication skills. With good communication, I am able to get a decent idea of what others think about me; what they think is good in me and what they think is bad. I am aware that I am not perfect. But I try to do my best with the abilities that I do possess.I worked in a charity organization called Mahak that supports children with cancer. I very much enjoyed my work there.when working with kids,I noticed that playing music made them so positive and happy that their condition improved a lot more quickly than usual. I am an AIESECer since June, 2016 :) By traveling, develop your personal perspective of life :)

IT’S INCREDIBLY SAFE AND GREAT FOR THE SOLO TRAVELER AND ALSO I CAN SELECT WHO I WANT TO STAY WITH BASED ON SHARED INTERESTS, OR CRITERIA LIKE AGE AND GENDER :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few weeks ago, I was asked by a music band to fill in for a member that could not make it to the performance. Only a few days were left until the performance. So I had very little time to learn the songs and attune myself to the rest of the group. I worked many hours every day with the other musicians in the band and was able to give a good performance in the end. Even though I was not a member of the band, I gave my time and worked as hard as I could to help my friends in need.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can meet them off the bus/train from the airport,Always offer them breakfast, Show them my city,play music for them :),Cook our tradition foods for them, I expect they experience there to be nothing less than amazing and unforgettable.I hope that they stay there will be a positive step towards understanding between our cultures.
