ABOUT ME

!!!! Currently traveling!!!!

well well well... I am one of those persons who do not really like all this online platforms like facebook &Co. I am not so much about this self-display thingi. There r aspects which may be great, like finding old friends and stuff and I absolutely don't want to judge about those who like it. Just not my thing.
Couch surfing is of course another thing! SO here I am "forced" to write something special about me...a beginner in this field…
Currently I am teaching abroad in Istanbul which is a challenging but rewarding experience. Istanbul is an amazing city but I miss the opportunity for outdoor activities, which used to be a big part of my leisure time...
I like doing sports, like playing soccer, going swimming, hillwalking, iceskating, sledging and so on. But that absolutely doesn't mean I am the sportive kind!:) I just like being outdoor, having fun doing whatever.

Mhhh what else is there to say about me? My friends say I am helpful and very direct(sometimes maybe too much...) I love to laugh and I am open to every nonsense.
I am interested in some alternative psychology stuff but wouldn't put myself in the esoterism drawer…I love Yoga though...
I'm a bit of a greenie but in a moderate way (unfortunately that collides with my traveldesire...:(
puuh this is quite a lot and I think it's enough to catch a glimpse of my personality, eh?!

PHILOSOPHY

I am convinced that things work out the way it is meant to be...even if it doesn't look that way right from the beginning.Which doesn't mean I am a fatalist who thinks our faith is written in a book the minute we r born...of course we have the potential to change things...
so well my philosophy is that there is an absurd/funny detail in everything-even in the sad stuff that happens. And I am always looking for that detail to reduce the daily horror:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I like - well actually love - traveling I do not enjoy being a tourist. That's why in the past I have chosen to work abroad several times. But of course this is not always an option. In order to really get to know a city, country you have to get in touch with local people and not be isolated in anonymous hotels. Couchsurfing is a brilliant chance to have a real experience...
