About Me

I'm a Ceramic student in Akdeniz University (in Antalya, Turkey) and have been working as a potterist for the last 5 years. I have a little workshop in my home but i mostly give workshops or sell my artworks. I work and earn during the summer time, use my savings to study during the winter, luckily i stay with my family which makes my life a whole lot easier 😄. I have a lot of hobbies; knitting, crocheting, watching series, music, reading, traveling, my ceramic works, cycling and learning new languages. Currently i have fluent Turkish & English, and a very good understanding in Japanese but sadly i cannot read kanji.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My childhood dream was to go see Japan. My mom and me have been a host for a long time through her account and we got to meet so many travelers, even stayed with some of them when we went traveling to their own countries.
My childhood dream is coming to life by having my internship in Japan! While i'm there, i also plan to stay longer so i can see as much Japan as i can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to almost all types of music as long as it's good quality. When alone; I mostly listen to Japan pop, lofi, hard rock and soft metal. One of my favorite musicians is Aurora.
I mostly watch anime or popular series to catch up.
I really love to read books, the type doesn't really matter, I like to read as many books as I can. However I really like Le grand cahier.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess the most amazing thing I did for me was; when I traveled half the Turkey by hitchhiking. I also traveled all the Netherlands in three days but I got no time to rest :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to share any knowledges I have about knitting, crocheting, languages, pottery, herbalism, cooking and animal care.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can make Turkish cuisine, talk about my experiences, and teach the languages I know.
I can harvest herbs, take care of them and mix up medicinal teas from the herbs I find.
I can teach pottery, we can use the wild mud we find to make it and use ground cooking method so we wouldn't even need a pottery oven.
I'm also great with kids, since I work with them so often.
Same for animals; I have 4 cats and a dog at home and my father lives in a village so I'm great with all animals.
