ABOUT ME

I am 28years old 5"4 and pretty Irish looking I guess! I was born in England and moved to Ireland when I was six. I have lived in so many places and moved a lot that at this stage I just can't stop moving. I started travelling when I was 16 when I went to America and since then I have travelled as much as I could and I'm nowhere near finished. When I'm at home I love being outdoors and going on road trips or somekind of adventure. I also love the circus and I have trained in silks and trapeze. I like going to watch live music and improv comedy and going to festivals. I like trying new things and doing night classes I recently did a class in ceramics and I love crafts and making these. i can make baskets and have competed a course in Silver smithing. So when I have time I make jewellery. I love being out with my friend and like most Irish people I'm fond of a drink or too. I can't imagine life without music I have recently discovered a band called Tinariwen and love African beats. I love discovering new music so please share! I play the Djembe and have taught myself to play the guitar in the last few years. I'm not amazing by any stretch of the imagination but I'm really happy I can play a song and sing it as I never believed I could. I always thought it was something you had to learn when you were younger, so apparently you can teach an old dog new tricks.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't come from a wealthy family and I am no means rich but I feel rich in spirit and I don't let lack of money stop me doing what I want. I like living a simple life and enjoying everything the good and the bad. I believe nothing lasts forever so I try to be mindful and enjoy every experience the good and the bad because I know life is full of changes and we never know what tomorrow brings. In my life I want to learn as much as I can. I love learning new languages trying to understand myself and others more and try to do all the thing s I have always wanted.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a car and can show people my beautiful country. I love it when I can't travel that the world comes to me and want to be the best host I can be as I have been put up by soem of the most incredibly hospitable peopel ever.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time officially couchsurfing but i have done lot's of couch surfing with friends of friends and It has always been good. I don't think you can go wrong meeting other open minded people who want to meet new people and enrich their lives by experiencing new cultures and inviting people into their home and showing how they live!

Intereses

Well I'm interested in travel in all sorts of modes. I have recently started hitchhiking and despite one hitch I believe that people are friendly and helpful and trusting and I have travelled so far and find it and interesting environmentally friendly way to travel! I am trying to make it my mission to fly less and try to be more creative with my mode of travel. I recently walked the north coast of spain from irun to santiago, almost 900k and it was an amazing experience. I am interested in health and alternative therapies. I belive in preventing illness rather than curing it or taking medication.

Música, películas y libros

So much good music and movies out there I don't even know where to begin. One of my favourite modern singers in devendra banhart becasue he is so creative. I love the 60's and the cheesy 80's. I have recently become obsessed with Mali and music from there. i like afro beats, reggae, swing, technoswing, dubstep, triphop. One of my favourite movies is Pans labyrinth and I am currently reading the grapes of wrath and book about the great depression.I like self growth books and also discussions on mediation and philosophy. I like documentaries and conspiracy theories I guess they would be called. Food inc and zeitgeist are two that come to mind. Worth a watch.

I walked the camino de Santiago del Norte. Out of all my travels so far this is especially special for me. it was like a little life in itself with a start, a journey and a sad but beautiful end when i had to say goodbye to all the wondeful people i met
