I can be polite in 9 languages, & love to travel & meet new people. I have found that if you are friendly, you will receive friendship.
I have synaesthesia, which means I can hear, feel, taste & smell in colour. Apparently, synaesthetics make up 4% of the human race.
I love to dance, watch rugby & sunsets (I live on the west coast), & hug orang utans. I exercise quite a lot, because I love to eat as well ;-q
I am writing this as a 60 year old going on 16, & in 2019 hope to visit Japan for the 4th time & NZ for the 5th time. Meanwhile, so many places to see, people to meet & so little time!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I joined originally because I needed to find somewhere to stay when I went to a 70th birthday party in Taunton just before Christmas, but I have been a member of similar sites, & used CampInMyGarden when I visited Stonehenge for the 2012 solstice and met some gorgeous kittens. I have also visited kind folk in Dundee, Newcastle, Worcester & Edinburgh in the UK, & Wellington, Lake Tarawera & Christchurch in NZ, & shared their houses.
So, I know it's a great way to share experiences, & much nicer than a cold, lonely hotel.

Interessen

I Love to Dance (incl. in my kitchen), watch Rugby, read in bed, Ski, Ride, Travel, do Word & Number Puzzles, & sing along to my favourite tunes.
I exercise mainly so I can eat what I want ~ like Mr Whippy, but I really enjoy Zumba, especially the Latin dance routines. I do Scottish Country Dancing regularly, but can turn my hand (feet??) to ballroom & latin as well. However, I draw the line at line dancing (pun intended). I usually try to find somewhere to dance when I visit somewhere, & would welcome your company

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I have Pitbull, Opera, Taiko, Celtic, Dance, & Folk CDs in the car & kitchen.
I will go to the local cinema regularly, but my favourites are fantasy, SciFi, musicals & thrillers.
I read most things, but have all Jane Austen's novels, most of Tolkein's, nearly all of Salvatore's Drizzt novels, & 39 of Terry Pratchett's. I am also eagerly awaiting George R R Martin's next one.
