Overview
About Me
Hello! I am a doctor currently working in Ingolstadt, Germany. I am originally from New Delhi, India, where I completed my medical degree and worked for a few years before moving to Germany. The main reason for me moving here was the relaxed work environment here and how much time one can devote to their hobbies, which for me is really important.
I am training to be a powerlifter, and like to spend my time biking and being in the nature as much as possible.
I love the mountains. I spent 8 months working for an NGO providing healthcare to the rural villages in remote Himalayas. I used whatever free time I could get to complete more than 10 high altitude treks in the Himalayas, all upwards of 4500m last year and also did a technical peak climb. The best part of that used to be when we spent weeks with the team members from different parts of the world and different walks of life, sharing stories, experiences, exchanging culture and just having the times of our lives.
I love to travel and learn about new cultures. I am currently on a bike-packing trip through Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. I will be camping most of the way but I would really like to meet the locals, maybe stay with them and exchange adventure and travel stories with them. I feel like the only way to travel well is to immerse yourself in the local culture.
I have travelled to a lot of countries, lived with the locals, volunteered, helping them and rediscovering myself along the way.
I would love to meet you and learn about your life experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
The book Grit Gravel and Gear about a software engineer who cycled all the way from Alaska to Peru with all his gear and only camped in the wild. It was a very inspirational read for a person with an equally hectic profession who loves bike-packing so much.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It is very hard to pick one: climbing the Ronti Saddle in the Himalayas and doing an unguided tour to the hidden lake in the Annapurna come very close
What I Can Share with Hosts
I live in a cosy apartment in the middle of Ingolstadt, a very beautiful city in Bavaria on the banks of the Danube. It is at the intersection of two of the major Eurovelo bike routes, so all fellow bike tourers and backpackers who would like to visit are very welcome. I live with my girlfriend, we have a spare room which the guests are welcome to stay in. We are both extreme adventure tourists and love to travel, and want to support tourists on a budget so that they have good facilities during their travel and can sustain travelling for longer - something we wish we could as well. We would love to exchange travel stories and experiences from all over the world. Also, we make really tasty Indian food, if you want to visit just for that!
