ABOUT ME

I am currently a medical student in NYC. Before starting school, I traveled through India for 6 months --- from Dharamsala in the north, all the way to Chennai. As a college student, I lived in Philadelphia; as a high schooler, in Boston. I was born in Gorleston, England, lived in Aberdeen, Paris, San Francisco, Alexandria (Egypt), and so forth. I love to travel, so perhaps it has been bred into me. I love to see new things and learn about new places. I have written a children's book and am currently editing it, but also want to continue to write and work on new projects.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently, I live in a dorm, so it is hard to host -- and med school is not leaving me much time for travel. But I loved couchsurfing and hope to soon be in a place where I can give back to the community and continue to explore it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has been everything I hoped it would be. I stayed with some lovely people in England, had great conversations and felt warmed and welcomed throughout my travels. I do hope I can be a host someday soon and pass on that love!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have walked out to the Naddi Waterfall and dipped my feet into the freezing cold Himalayan water. I have visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar at night and seen the hundreds of volunteers cleaning it from top to bottom, while singing the whole time. I have lain in a hammock drinking coconut water and watched the skyline of Mumbai light up. Oh and I have had my water bottle stolen from me by a monkey at 1000 year old caves. But at least he unscrewed the top and drank the water after he took it!
