How to write winning couch requests:

1) Couch request is like applying for a job. If your profile is lame and the message is copy-paste, you'll get nothing. Make your request and profile stand out of the rest of the hundreds of requests sent to hosts every week.

2) There are WAY more guests than hosts. Read your request and answer the question "will the request and profile make me outstanding? Will I open my door to someone with such request and profile?"

3) Participate as host as well. Show you care about CouchSurfing as a community, not just as a freeloading opportunity. Not a must, but will increase your chances to find host.
