I live in Seattle, and study sociology at the University of Washington. I focus on segregation, racism, and big data. I'm always interested in learning more about those topics or whatever gets your brain working :). I'm non-binary, queer, and really like drinking coffee. I'm vegetarian and I don't drink alcohol. I like reading almost as much as I like traveling, but I like both of them a lot. I've had the wonderful chance to host people from all over when I lived in Japan and New York, and I love engaging in non-monetary interactions like couchsurfing!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Right now I'm on to meet cool people in the places I go so that I can be less of a tourist and more of a visitor.

Also, I think the most direct path to changing the world is to change myself. I think couchsurfing is a way for me to change in a positive way. Taking someone into our home or visiting with somebody we don't yet know well is a kind of vulnerability that seems rare these days, but I know that I've grown each time I've opened myself up that way.

兴趣

I like meditation, bouldering, baking bread, making waffles, eating ice cream, drinking coffee, meeting new people, finding out that an idea I've had for a long time doesn't quite work so well,

These days I'm trying to expand my experience and become a better listener and sharer. I'm also doing my best to participate in non-moneyed forms of exchange like hitch-hiking, wwoofing, and couchsurfing.

I spend most of my time reading, talking, writing, eating, and drinking.

I like country music, Heavy Metal, hip-hop, rap, folk, classic rock, and 80's music.

I like exciting books, some mysteries, books about history, good stories, shit that blows your mind, philosophy, and comics. I don't think pulpy novels are good, but I really like them.
