About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to try to enjoy every moment that I can. Sometimes I forget how short the time is that we have to spend

ABOUT ME

I am an eclectic mix of interests. I work a lot, and my job is REALLY important to me. It gives a lot of meaning to my life. Consequently, everything else just feels like gravy. My current new love is for scuba. Whenever possible I try to get in the water, especially if it means learning about the underwater ecosystem. I LOVE to snowboard, so most of my thoughts in the winter center around trying to find the best snow. Art is also integral to my life, whether I'm creating or appreciating it. Travel gives me reason to get up in the morning. I draw, and I walk a lot, and I try to remember what is really important in this world, since it is so easy to forget.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too short--and I try and remind myself of this all the time just to keep me grounded.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I've been sadly disconnected from CS, but I'm looking to reconnect.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am happy to say that I have had a only GREAT couchsurfing experiences. I was hosted in Porto, Portugal; Santiago, Spain; Marrakech, Morocco; and Montpellier, France. All really kind, generous and fun hosts. Now that I know what CS is all about, I am really excited to host some surfers when I move into my new home when I go back to the states!

Interests

scuba travel art kids watching the sky drawing languages traveling (obviously)

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Probably my most memorable moment was when I was doing Habitat for Humanity in New Mexico. We woke up REALLY early to attend one of their famous balloon festivals. As the sun rose, the hot air balloons slowly filled and rose into the sky. It was an amazing sight. To make it even better, someone invited me into their balloon, and I got to see the world from a floating balloon!
