ABOUT ME

Fun loving and adventurous, mother of 1. Grew up as a tomboy in Texas. Love: music, pizza, elephants, rollercoasters, motorcycle riding, people of all sizes and colors...we all put our pants on one leg at a time, traveling, photography, mechanical things, kids, all animals (even lizards & snakes & spiders). Have gone sky-diving, ziplining rapelling, and hope to drive a dragster in the 1/4 mile someday. Educated and retired business executive, homebuilder, and teacher. Caring & genuine, quirky with a big, crooked smile.

PHILOSOPHY

Try everything once - then you can go back for 2nds. Re: food....don't tell me what I'm eating, just let me enjoy it. Always wanted to run companies that make a difference in the world, but now I am actress so I can tell people stories because facts are facts but people remember/relate to stories. Music and a smile are universal languages.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

just joined CS but always stay in Hostels or local housing when I travel before CS became internet based. Friends I meet are always welcome in my home. I'm moving in another month, so space is limited, but I also help other find places to stay with friends if possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never couchsurfed but generally stay at Hostels, local inns or tent camp when I travel. Weirdest travel experience was in China w/my 8 yr daughter - Taxi driver drove us around for 3 hours before taking us to hotel to run up the fare.
Awesome moment - eating at local diner in Italian coastal town and mentioned that we were looking for a place to stay, bartender called a friend who came to get us and let us stay at his place.

Hosted my 1st CSer - was everything I expected - AWESOME!! We chatted about everything.

Also listen to big band, pop, country, broadway, jazz, instrumentals, hip hop, rock...if it's music, I listen to it. I'm an actress, so I love movies, esp. action, suspense, comedy and thought provoking stories.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Just one?? I'm a MOM. I backpacked for 6 weeks throughout China with only my 8 year old daughter. I walked on a volcano in Hawaii that had slow flowing magma and the ground started melting my tennis shoes and I walked on a valley glacier in Canada.

I've been a teacher for years on various subjects: business, accounting, self/independent traveling, and english. I want to learn more about photography and travel writing. I also enjoying learning new languages. I love to cook - oatmeal cookies, barbeque, and brownies - all from scratch. Willing to teach anything I know.
