I'm an Indian citizen who studied in the USA and most recently worked in Oxford, England but now after patiently waiting for years is on a quest to travel across Iran and South Asia! As someone who grew up reading books about different countries, I plan on traveling the world one day and I am very passionate about meeting people from different cultures and walks of life! I really like to visit museums, art galleries, local restaurants, meet local people, and other historic monuments when I'm in cities. Otherwise, I also really enjoy hiking, walks, kayaking, and learning other adventure sports.

I have been blessed to have the good fortune to travel and form life-long memories with people from all over the world. Whether it is North Korean soldiers or Tanzanian villagers, I have learned a lot from my adventures and it has fundamentally shaped me.

Being a student, Couchsurfing will help me to continue these adventures and learn more about the world that I share with so many varieties of people. Few people would deny that in order to truly understand the place, you need to know the people who live there. I am confident Couchsurfing will help me accomplish this.

Books: Too many to put here! The Godfather, Mahabharata, The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, David Copperfield, Ben-Hur, The Idiot (I love classical Russian literature), The Alchemist, Kafka on the Shore (anything by Haruki Murakami), On the Road are a few!
