Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although I haven't ever actually hosted someone or been a guest at someone's house, this sounds like a refreshing way of getting to know new cultures and learning about people, if done the right way. Would love to get out of my comfort zone and try and explore that a bit :D

Music, Movies, and Books

The Dave Matthews Band phase has lasted way over time for me. I like listening to all sorts of music otherwise, really depending on my mood. I like a little bit of everything. On my iTunes you'll find Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Doors, Beatles, Abida Parveen, Iqbal Bano, Nirvana, Guns N Roses (yeah... I still have days when i'm listening to them :|)... what I end up listening to really just depends on how I'm feeling that particular day

I also love exploring new music and listening to new tunes. It kinda makes me feel like I've just heard something that I love that I had not till now and the newness gets me very excited.

I'm not as much of an avid reader, but I do love to read. Apart from books with psychoanalytic thinking, you'll find me reading plenty of poetry. Sylvia Plath, Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, Ghalib, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Pablo Neruda, Rumi are my absolute favorites amongst plenty more. You may sometimes in a random conversation find me quoting them.

I really love book shops and libraries. I can spend hours just gazing at books.

And I'm not a big movie buff, but I really like Forrest Gump.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived and absorbed very different setups ranging from New Jersey, to Delhi- the capital of India, to a drastic shift to one of the most under-developed states in the country - Jharkhand. Experienced so many cultures and so many different people!
