About Me

---If you are an Indian boy with zero references, and you send me a message / request to meet or stay at my place even when you clearly live in Delhi/Gurgaon, I will block and report you ---

Adventurous, love to play sports, very energetic, love to talk but a good listener too (that's what people tell me). I love to go try new things, taking risks and am generally a happy person.

I practice Vipassana Meditation, and can teach you basic meditation. If you are looking for mediation techniques, I would highly recommend going for a 10 day Vipassana Retreat!

I love listening to travel stories and sharing whatever few stories and experiences I have had while travelling on my own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have hosted a lot of people and have gotten a chance to experience the warmth, hospitality and kindness of many different people while surfing and attending CS events in 4 radically different countries! Makes me believe that people are the same the world over, and it's about time we try to get over cultural or racial biases and prejudices.

CS has always been full of great, new and delightful experiences! It is a site that has changed my life in uncountable ways and I am really grateful to all those people who have made my life richer and more beautiful.

I have had quite a few couch surfing experiences even before I joined couchsurfing since my sister is a couch surfer too (http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/kanoriachandni/)

CS has always been a pleasant experience, sometimes eye opening, sometimes excess amounts of fun, it has included trips around cities, CS events, a lot of hosting, and surfing, and each experience has been so different.

I have gotten to meet so many new people and hear so many amazing travel stories, different view points, and seen the world we live in, in different ways. I have gotten along really well even with people having different ideologies, different philosophies about life, religion, and a lot of other things under the sun, and I have been enlightened, surprised, amused in more ways than I could have imagined!

Interests

I love adventure sports and extreme sports. I am particularly interested in those sports which allow you to fly (bungee jumping, sky diving etc., ) I like the rush of adrenalin I suppose as well as swim (seeing manta rays and sharks).

On the other hand, I like silence or having a conversation over coffee just the same.

I am also into meditation and yoga. I love to keep learning new things and read all sorts of books.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most of the movies that I see. I really don't have much taste here.

As for music, I love to listen to music like most people on this planet! :) What kind of music? Depends completely on the scenario! If you discuss singers and bands with me, I might appear completely clueless, because I listen to comparatively less English when it comes to music, but I'll be happy to listen to your music interests in English or even if its in a language I cant understand :)

Books are my pastime, hobby and the first things I look for when I have free time! I love reading and have read books by Ayn Rand, Gregory David Roberts, Paulo Coelho, Ramachandra Guha, Arundhati Roy, Nicolas Sparks, Jane Austen, Sidney Sheldon, Irving Wallace and many more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen the sun rise over the mountains of another country while I sat sipping coffee in one.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Hindi if you'd like and talk and explain things about the Indian culture, religion and Hinduism in great detail, some of Gautam Buddha's teachings, I would love to know about your culture and lifestyle, your beliefs, philosophy, thoughts, ideas, and listen to your travel stories and about your home country! I wouldn't mind sharing the same with you too :)

And if you speak French, I'd be really happy if you could practice with me or if you are learning French we could practice French together.

As for sharing things or any other stuff, you just have to ask, and I'll be happy to help as much as I can!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be happy to cook an Indian curry for you! Would be happy to meditate together, exchange language lessons and travel stories!
