Overview
About Me
I am easy-going and fun-loving guy. Passion and ambition are two things I consider important to me. I like to take a bit of time to get to know people and like to make deep connections be it with friends or relationships. I am always looking for new ways to experience life.
Currently, I am a graduate student at university of waterloo, canada. I will finish my doctorate by the end of next year. I work on something called machine learning, which in simple terms, is "how to make computers think like humans".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Next month I will be travelling to Belgrade, Serbia for a week. Its a business-cum-tourism trip. I have heard really good things about Serbian locals. I want to meet them, interact with them and experience the life in Serbia.
Interests
Squash is a racquet sport played between two people. It is rated as one of the most intense and healthiest sport. I play squash semi-professionally, that is, I am on my university team in Canada and we play matches against other universities.
I am an outdoorsy person. Every evening you can find me either working out in the gym or playing squash. Other than that, often in summer, I go hiking/camping with my friends.
I used to play an Indian musical instrument called Tabla. But I am not that good at it anymore.

Music, Movies, and Books
Being born in India, I love bollywood and Indian music. I also like Jazz and the latest pop music. I love reading biographies of famous people. Currently, I am reading the biography of Nikola Tesla. He was truly a genius.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach how to play table (an indian musical instrument). I can also teach how to play squash, how to write computer programs :) I would also love to share about Indian culture, cuisine, and history.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share about my experiences living in various countries, the different cultures and people I met with. I can also share about my indian roots. Fun fact: The place where I am born, it's also the birth place of Buddhism and I can share various interesting stories and facts about that.
