ABOUT ME

Well, I'm an English teacher, there seem to be a lot of us in China! This is my 3rd year teaching in Chinese universities, I love the country and the students very much.

It's fairly hard for a British person to write about themselves, we're reserved like that! So please forgive me for the short introduction. Please feel free to ask any questions and I'll be happy to answer them.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't have a personal philosophy as such... though if I did I suppose it would be something like:
It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mainly use CS to meet people in new cities. I find it's a good way to introduce yourself to locals and expats alike, which can be hard when you've moved to a new city and know nobody.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I don't have much Couchsurfing experience, I have met some great people though this website and I hope for that to continue.

I was on stage with the Chuckle Brothers... I'm not sure if you'll get the reference but it was a highlight for me.

I wouldn't flatter myself by saying that I have any special knowledge or skills! Does teaching English count? It is my job, after all. Though I would say my general knowledge is good and I love to learn (or at least attempt) new things.

I did recently find out I can get out of a swimming pool feet first though, I suppose that's kind of a special skill. And my handstands are improving!
