I've missed the company of people I've never known.

I'm not making any long trips anytime soon, but I'd love to host, or meet up and show you pockets of Singapore that are probably not on the list of top 10 places to go here.

兴趣

I've recently discovered a separate kind of joy in doing jigsaw puzzles.

Swimming, cycling (which I learned at the age of 25).

Experimenting in the kitchen and making a big deal about the shoddy results.

I have a guitar and vocal chords, which I'm happy to lend.

Reading/learning (special interest in gender and family studies).

Music: My mood changes with the weather. My playlist changes with my mood.

Movies: I love films that make me reflect and wonder, or those that just depict little snippets of people's lived experiences. But I WILL burst into tears every time I hear Leonardo DiCaprio say, "So, you wanna go to a real party?"

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Messed up while hitchhiking around Europe, and ended up having a blast in an unexpected place with unexpected people.

Ate 'balut' (Google it, or don't and I'll describe every detail when we meet) in Cambodia and barbecued bats in Laos (loved them although I'm vegetarian).

Teach: If you're up for it, Bollywood dance. Also, I recently learned a trick to teach someone almost anything I know, so sign up here to be my guinea pig.

Learn: I'd love to learn about Urdu shayari, Portuguese fado, or other forms of exaggerated expression (maybe it's the Indian in me, but I love the drama).

Share: I'm (a little too) open to share. Small talk? I take my coffee without sugar. Deep musings? I do believe that every instance is a culmination of a series of carefully orchestrated events. Let's talk!
