I love hearing the local music from a certain region- it brings your experience full circle. To name a few bands: Modest Mouse, Radiohead, Camera Obscura, Folk Implosion, Built to Spill, Led Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Mars Volta, RHCP.
Movies: Anything Quentin Tarantino, The Fountain, Batman, Finding Nemo, All About Eve, Pride and Prejudice.
Books: sci-fi stuff, Picture of Dorian Gray, Wuthering Heights, The Good Earth, Breakfast of Champions.
