Hello everyone, my name is Shubhojit Roy. You all can call me ROY. I am a former journalist and a social worker. Presently, I work for a travel startup that I co-founded with my buddy. I am living an entrepreneurial life with crazy highs and lows and lots of travel. My use of couchsurfing.com has become limited in recent times as I have developed a lot of contacts, a lot of friends through my business and I usually get a couch through a phone call. But nonetheless, this is a great platform, one of the best for travellers who are seeking connection with any new place or its people. I am following my passion, I love travelling and I have already almost traveled the length and breadth of India. I have also travelled to three other countries, namely, Nepal, Switzerland and France on one occasion. When I visited Paris, I felt something that I had never felt, I was emotionally overwhelmed with the city, with its night lights, the thousands of photographs on the internet cannot make you feel the cool breeze that penetrates through your skin and touches your soul when you are standing on the banks of Siene river on a summer night. Paris will always be an emotion for me, and not a city.

Couchsurfing is the best way to meet new people, learn new things and share your own experiences to others. I also like to get involved in social activities in my travels, so couchsurfing is the best way to get closer to the people of the land and work with them.

I love adventure, at some point in my life, I am definitely going to skydive, that is on top of bucket list. I am also a musician and I like composing music in my guitar during my free time.

I can teach you Indian languages if you are interested, I can teach you how to play guitar or understand musical notes. I can also teach you some journalistic and communicative skills, hehe.
