Trying to live up to my personal philosophy of acting like the person I want to become. This involves doing things often outside my comfort zone!

ABOUT ME

Filmmaker, storyteller and idea junkie. This year I have a couple writing projects that are my primary focus. I'm looking to get out of Los Angeles to some quiet places where I can write, cook, take long walks and meet new people. I also love good conversation and am a pretty good story teller -- ask me about my cat Huckleberry and I promise the best cat story you've ever heard!

PHILOSOPHY

You have to act like the person you want to become. No, not 'fake it till you make it'. More like 'do it till you become it'.

I am a Couchsurfing newbie! Over the last few months, I've taken multiple long distance train rides. And while on the train, Couchsurfing came up a few times. Finally, on my last trip I gatecrashed Couchsurfing meetup at a cafe in Seattle and decided it was about time I created an account.

Movies I love are varied so don't look for a pattern -- I just love great filmmaking: Cinema Paradiso, Children of Heaven, Chungking Express, Amadeus, 3 women, Three Colors Trilogy, Let the Right One In, all of Ulrich Seidl's work, 2001 A Space Odyssey Pan's Labyrinth

Also my current favorite TV shows are Parks and Recreation, Mad Men and Game of Thrones

Music on repeat these past weeks: Trouble will find you (The National), Close to the glass (The Notwist), Fulsom Prison (Johnny Cash) and Tracy Chapman.

Authors: Alice Walker, Lorrie Moore, David Sedaris, Anne Tyler, Terry Pratchett and others I can't remember now. I also love children's books and return to Roald Dahl, Harry Potter and Anne of Green Gables now and then.
