[PROFILE]
I'm a Japanese "SAMURAI" straight from the hood! An intrepid and organized white-collar worker.

In 2019, I took a gap year from university to travel Australia on a working holiday, and it was a life-changing experience for a 20-year-old Japanese and sparked my curiosity to explore what there is to see across the globe beyond my small world.

Meeting new people opens my eyes to the world and helps me become more open-minded. I’d love to host travelers from different backgrounds and show them a great time, as a way to repay the kindness I received during my stay in Australia.

I've lived in Tokyo, Osaka, Nara, Hiroshima in Japan, and Perth in Australia, so I can share handy tips for traveling in those places!

Last but not least, you only live once. From the moment we are born, we begin to die. Who wouldn't want to enjoy the journey?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Connecting with people all over the world 🌎
As my bio states above, I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet people across the globe that CS offers. I’d love to be a local you can count on to help you travel safely and make the most of the cities you explore.

Interests

Basketball: I've been playing basketball for over 15 years, from elementary school through to my university graduation. I play as a shooter, and I hold a personal record of 23 consecutive three-pointers during practice.

NBA: My love for basketball extends beyond playing; I enjoy watching it as well. In the 2025 playoffs, I was cheering for the Pacers!

Outdoors: I love activities that connect me with nature, such as hiking, camping, river play, going to the beach, and having barbecues.

Workout: I’ve been hitting the gym for over six years. My personal best in bench press is 136 kg. In 2024, I participated in my first competition and placed 5th in the Hiroshima tournament.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a wide range of genres, including hip-hop, EDM, and rap. Some of my favorite artists are Kendrick Lamar, Kygo, The Weekend, Kaytranada, Yo-sea, and FKJ.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It’s impossible to choose one so I will write down some outlandish things I’ve done in my life. Survived in mind-blowing party in Aus for 3 straight days, was invited to a hideaway of Cartel in Mexico City and witnessed heaps of ****, climbed Mt. Fuji in a tank top, and lost weight by 23kgs through 4 months to compete in a body building competition.

Teach, Learn, Share

English education and literature are two majors I studied at Uni. I have a teaching license to be a high school English teacher.

I recently started learning Spanish as my third language so that I can travel in South America one day like a local. I’m currently at a beginner level and would appreciate any help from Spanish speakers to improve.

What I Can Share with Hosts
