ABOUT ME

I'm currently a graduate student at the University of Kansas, studying counseling psychology. I grew up in Wisconsin and have been living in Kansas for about a four years. I have a husband of 4 years, and a yellow lab named Jackson. Right now, school is mostly my life, and any trips that I take are a part of it.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life with no regrets, because every mistake is an opportunity to learn something new. While bad things happen, I believe they happen for a reason. If everything in life went well, it would not prepare you for the later struggles in life.

I haven't any yet, but I am looking forward to some soon. My friend told me what a great experience he had with it abroad in Europe.

Interests

Psychology (positive psychology, health psychology, sports psychology, and counseling psychology), sociology, art history, art, crocheting, reading, animals and animal assisted therapy, dance, singing, music, sleeping, video games, crocheting, cake-decorating, catching up with my DVR, dog-walking, blogging and webmastering, and finding spare time.

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of movies I usually like comedies, or any of the subcategories like comedy-drama, comedy-romance, stuff like that. Music I listen to is whatever is popular at the moment, and can keep me dancing. Books that I read are mostly non-fiction. I have a huge stack waiting for me upon my graduation. Due to the high demand of graduate school I unfortunately don't have much time to read what I want to read.

I can share any knowledge regarding psychology, sociology, or art. I would like to learn more about city living in general. I have always been a small town girl, and the idea of living in a metropolis is a fascinating concept to me.
