I'm Shaun (legally named Shuvomay Das) and I'm a reader, writer, dreamer, and technologist, currently living in the skin of a web-engineer. I'm trying to move out of my comfort zones and do more things than I've done before, especially things I HAVEN'T done before.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It seems like such an awesome idea! I'd love to host people at my place especially with Mumbai housing costing the earth. I wanna get to meet new people (though I'm bloody awkward with strangers) and see if I can break out of my shell and learn to have real human interactions :P

Same reason why I'd love to stay with hosts when I travel. A local could add so much flavor to the experience, especially when I'm traveling solo.

Interests

If I'm not reading a book or listening to music with the lights off, splayed on my bean bag, I'm trying to code some fun things. Recently forked my main blog and created http://artincode.tumblr.com to document my creative coding pursuits.

I'm also into experimental cooking, replicating my mom's recipes and discovering new places to eat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's amazing to me coz I never thought I could do it though I know a lot of others have: I finished my degree in Marine Engineering, picked up a job as a webDeveloper a week later and am now thriving :D
